HOW WE GOT STARTED!

Founder and Captain Justin Anderson was taught to love and appreciate the outdoors from an early age. Exploring the rural parts of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, opportunities were endless. Whether it was hunting whitetail deer, trapping wild hogs, chasing turkeys or catching fish, one thing was always certain: his willingness to teach others and introduce people to the great outdoors. As this passion grew he became a well-respected fishing guide in his community. Not stopping there, he developed a vision to build a much larger team.

 Capt. Anderson recognized a need for people who wanted an affordable and unique outdoor experience where anyone can getaway and share in mutual comradery. To develop a service for hunting and fishing trips to those clients who aren’t able to drop everything or spend thousands of dollars to travel out of the country for a month. So with the common man in mind, he set out to assemble the perfect guide team and outdoor experience.

Historic Coast Outfitters offer’s so much more than daily fishing charters. We provide an all-inclusive resort style experience mixed with old school fish camp vibes. This experience is centered around enjoying the great outdoors with loved ones and close friends.

When you book with us, you are with guides who share a true passion and appreciation for every aspect of the outdoors. Each HCO member shares a common goal of ensuring every client has the best experience possible during their time with us. Our guides are knowledgeable in the history of the area, including the wildlife encountered on your trip. They will give you tips & tactics that will help in your own personal adventures in the woods and water.

 Our mission is to share with those our areas beauty that lies just beyond the tourist trolleys, bright lights and historic district of downtown St Augustine. We accommodate any level of angler or outdoorsman. Our team offers a variety of outdoor adventures including inshore shallow water sight fishing, offshore trips, cast & blast, eco tours, turkey hunting and so much more.
