Here at Historic Coast Outfitters, we are big fans of the Boykin Spaniel breed. They are perfect for both working purposes as well as our family pets. Our guides prefer the Boykin Spaniel due to its size, temperament and versatility. Whether we are flushing quail & pheasant or retrieving marsh hens or ducks, we can always depend on these companions.

Another reason we selected this breed is that Captain Mike Keith’s father, Mr. Brian Keith, has a long and extensive history of raising Boykin Spaniel’s. With over 13 years of experience, Mr. Keith has been breeding and training Boykin’s in the low country of South Carolina where the breed originated.

Currently, we have 4 Boykins that are members of the Historic Coast team: Charlie, Gauge, Duke and Bennett.
