Capt. Chris Shultz

I've been lucky enough to have a fishing rod in hand since I could walk. It all started on Clater Lake in Southwest Virginia as young boy using a cane pole and bobber with worms for bass and bream.

.

My family moved back to Jacksonville in the mid 1990's and I have been fishing these waters ever since. My earliest memories of fishing in Jacksonville are watching my grandfather fly fish with poppers and gurglers, it took me awhile to catch the fly fishing bug but now it's my favorite way to spend time.

My goal as a guide is to give clients a memorable experience fishing the Jacksonville area, teaching you about our local fishery and some of the rich maritime history of North Florida.

In June 2019 I was riding my Harley Davidson when an impaired driver swerved into my lane and hit me head on. I'm glad to be typing this but am moving a little slower than I was before, I lost my left leg below the knee and am still dealing with issues from the accident but am happy to be back on the water, more motivated and driven then before, and getting stronger everyday. Depending on the type of trip you choose I may bring a mate now but it will be at no additional costs from the rates shown.
