St. Augustine Inshore Fly Fishing Charters

Stalk Tailing and Crawling Redfish on the Fly

At Historic Coast Outfitters, we are proud to have a dedicated team of fly fishing specialists that know the area inside and out. Arguably the most challenging and exciting way to fish, there is no better feeling than casting to a redfish and see it eat the fly. The client and guide are a team, and we are here to help.

The HCO Fly Fishing Experience

Here along the historic coast our specialty for the fly rod enthusiast is the red drum(redfish), black drum and sheepshead. We have various sight fishing opportunities for clients ranging from lowtide back country creeks and flats where the fish are often seen backing or tailing in less than 8” of water. During our seasonal floodtides, the fish are on the grass flats feeding, tailing and generally happy and eager to eat a clients fly if placed properly!
