Jetties, Beaches, and Nearshore Wrecks

On these trips, we fish along the jetties, troll the beaches, and journey up to 25 miles offshore to bottom fish the nearshore wrecks. In the bay boats, it’s all about the what the ocean gives you. We can safely fish almost any day the winds are under 15 knots. Our bay boats are built to handle the elements, but in rougher conditions, expect to feel the motion of the ocean. Our nearshore bay boat trips offer the versatility in distance and draft that a 32 foot center console simply cannot do!

The HCO Nearshore Experience

In the wintertime, we primarily target Sheepshead and fish structure along the Jetties and in the inlets or nearshore reefs.

The spring brings great beach fishing with the arrival of the pogy (menhaden) pods. The Manta Ray migration also brings Cobia along the coast.

In the summer and fall, the beaches and inlets have Kingfish, Tarpon and Sharks while the nearshore wrecks are alive with bait schools feeding the resident Snapper, Kingfish, Barracuda, Sharks, Cobia and more!
